- You can't pump to increase your milk supply while you're home by yourself b/c you're supposed to be taking care of your babies.
- My nipples are without limits to their elasticity!
- The repetitive sound of the engine is not relaxing...it's stressful.
- When you have two babies staring you in the face and your breasts being pulled "gently" it does not make your milk come in.
- You can pay a lot of money for something and hate it more than anything...I would have rather spent that $280 on clothes or boots or something useful like that.
- I give a lot (and I mean a lot) of credit to working Moms or even stay at home Moms who pump...it's so hard!

Ding, Dong, The Witch is Dead!
I sold my breast pump!!! I couldn't be more excited. That thing just stared at me while it was in the house taunting me. It said, "your body couldn't handle breastfeeding and I'm here to remind you." I sold it to a woman who is pregnant with her fourth kid...more power to her! I hated that thing...here is what it taught me:

Too funny! I pumped solely for 3 1/2 months & then my milk just went away! I felt the same way about pumping too!!! Oh, I worked & pumped & boy, do I have some funny pumping at work stories
You are SOOO funny! Good for you for saying goodbye to that oppressor!
Have a happy, pump-free Thanksgiving!
WOOHOOO!!!!
I also hated the breast pump. And you are so right about all the things you learned from it.
It got really hard to pump when they would wake up and cry. I was so glad to sell mine!
Love the slide show- they are so adorable!
Glad that will help relieve some stress for you! I made it work, but it was NOT easy! I am hoping with this next baby, there will be much less pumping involved!
LOVE the slide show of the babies above...so cute! I especially love the one of the two of them cuddled in the hospital bassinet! My two never got to lay next to each other until they were home from the NICU
Other women would say it was soooo easy to pump and have a supply in the freezer. And then I was told I wouldn't have a problem making enough milk for two. Yeah, right, and I tried really hard. But they all had only ONE baby. It's not like you can say to twins,"Just hang out for 20 mins while I pump." Mine doesn't get used much either. I just alternate with the formula and nursing but usually when I have a second person there.
love the slide show. beautiful babies. congrats. and good luck. keep us posted. what a big job you have a head. and fun too. ♥
I wanted to comment before -- I too had to give up nursing my twins. And I had been oh so cocky before they came about how I was going to feed them both etc. How with my first baby I had an over-abundant supply so this would be no problem. Well, after 2 months in the NICU, a cold and shingles -- my supply was shaky at best. Once we got home, where I too was the only caregiver with minimal support, and two preemies who couldn't quite master nursing -- there was no time to pump.
Anyway, long story, but I wound up in the same boat and I'm so relieved the anxiety is over. It hurts everytime I pay for formula, but the relief is worth it.
