Things I can do again and other updates

Okay, I never thought I'd be able to do these things again, but I can. Here's what I have accomplished:
  • I ate soup again (no gagging) - granted...it wasn't chicken soup which originally sent me over the edge, but it was soup!
  • I brushed my tongue - rather than the 10 minutes gagging session I've had in the past, I had about 30 seconds of thinking I shouldn't have done that and it passed. That's progress.
  • I went a week without throwing up or gagging viciously in the morning.
Here are the updates:
  • I'm not a small girl anymore. I bought underwear in size Large and can barely button my pants by the end of a work day. I long for my comfy sweats which are getting smaller as the days go by.
  • I woke up this morning with a screaming headache and really rosy cheeks. I don't know what this is all about, but Bill's convinced that I'm not drinking enough water. Every time he wants me to drink more water, he shouts, "Pound it!" like we're in a private fraternity party, but it does make it more fun.
  • I don't get the headaches...how can someone who hasn't had a drop of alcohol in 3.5 months wake up feeling like they've been on a bender? It's horrible. The Regular Strength Tylen.ol is working, but I really don't want to take too many...I know they're "safe," but I don't want to take too much of anything!
  • My rings are feeling tight - already. I love my rings and don't want to stop wearing them, but at some point it may come to that or Bill buying me new rings (unlikely).
  • I am seriously considering wearing flats from here on out. Since I am a small girl from Long Island, I love to wear heels...don't feel right without them (that and lipstick). I bought two pairs from Target (black and gold) and have yet to pull them out of the boxes. I have problems. I know that when I see my first varicose veins, I'll hate myself, but I'm just not ready yet.
  • I am soon going to have to face my fear of maternity pants. My larger size regular girl pants just aren't cutting it anymore. I am pushing those buttons way past where they should go. It's just mean.
That's all for now. We have another doctor's appointment this afternoon and I'm going to get some bloodwork done this morning. Thank God for Primary Election Day...I needed a day off!
