I am really lucky because for some reason, at the beginning of this pregnancy, I didn't think I'd make it this far! I don't know why, but I was so nervous about everything and just didn't think I'd be able to make it through. Trust me...it's not easy, but my body is actually doing it. This gives me a tremendous amount of respect for the human body (mine in particular ;))! Anyway, here's the latest:
Ultrasound - Monday - 6/2 - Babies are doing well...Hailey weighs approximately 2 pounds 5 ounces and Matthew weighs approximately 2 pounds 7 ounces. The doctor was very happy that they were within a couple of ounces. My cervix is doing well and they don't really want to do anymore vaginal ultrasounds...they said that it won't really tell them as much as a internal exam (yuch!), so we'll see how that goes. They are moving around so much and she could actually find Matthew's profile and he has hair! I just wonder what color it is...Hailey was being more shy, so we couldn't get a profile of her...oh well!
Doctor's appointment - 6/5 - I am weighing in at 177 pounds (I am now tied with Bill). My blood pressure is fine and while the doctor is a little concerned about my swelling, she said it's normal for what I'm going through. We talked about birthing plans and we'll get into that as we see how the babies are positioned. I also took a urine test for Strep B. Can you believe it? I don't have a doctor's appointment next week! I have a week off from appointments! Oh, and I'm measuring at 35 weeks now...only 7 ahead of where I actually am! I also took my second glucose test yesterday...I was so good all week that I ate like crap yesterday after the test. So, I'm not perfect...who's counting?
Current symptoms: continuous pain (every time I move), extreme hip pain at night, sciatica (Bill keeps asking me if it's gotten better or if I've just gotten used to it...I think I've just gotten used to it), swelling in my feet and ankles, constant peeing, a roly-poly stomach...they're moving around like crazy and I love it, and a need for having exactly what I want exactly when I want it.
The house is finally sided and all of the windows and gutters are in...that was a big stressor for the past two weeks. The babies' room looks great, but I want to get some more shit on the walls before I take a picture. I can't stand relying on people for things...I really want to plant outside, but I just can't do it! I can't get on the ground! No...correction...I can't get off the ground once I get there! We're going to move into crucial organization mode for the house this weekend...now that all of the construction is done, we can move on to finding a place for everything...difficult task in a small house, but we can do it! We're just going to have to purge more crap!
This is my last week of school and I am not taking a day off...we're going through a major heat wave here on the East Coast, so that should make it even more difficult for me! Yippee! It's going up to 94 today and 96 tomorrow...I think I'll stay inside. The good news is that the new windows have sealed this place up tight! It's great! That's all for now...hope all is well with everyone else! RT
