Here we go:
1. When someone give me a compliment, I will take it. I will not say, "Ugh...but I still have 10 more pounds to lose," "it's not that hard to have two babies," "I'm glad you like my living room, but we need a bigger house," or "I don't think the pot roast is that good...I could have done more with it." I will take the compliment and I will enjoy it rather than ruining it.
2. I will try really really hard not to obsess about how my kids are developing. If they're not rolling over every single day, that doesn't mean that they don't have enough muscle tone. If Hailey starts talking like an owl (no, really, she does that...it's weird), it doesn't mean that she will experience delayed speech. Sometimes too much knowledge is a burden!
3. I will try very hard to vacuum and go to the gym at least twice a week.
I think that's about it. Not that I don't have many other faults, but this is what I'm concentrating on for this year. I hope that everyone else had a nice New Year's Eve too and made some realistic resolutions.
I wanted to send a quick shout out to my family. They were in over New Year's and I had such a good time. I know I wasn't always the best hostess (i.e. I made my sister cook 2/3 dinners!), but I appreciate you making yourselves at home and pitching in when we needed it! You were more than generous with all of your gifts and I can't wait to have the babies dive right in...I just need to spread out the happiness! I love you and miss you tons!
Other than that, nothing is really new. We went to Kohl's today and returned some clothes that I was just afraid wouldn't get worn...had to get bigger sizes. They're getting bigger every day! For my twin Mom friends...two questions: 1. How much rice cereal should the babies be getting each day? The doctor said to try it at breakfast and dinner and we are...it's going quite well. At this point, they're sharing a serving and I was just wondering what other people did. 2. When did you stop using your infant carriers? They are freaking heavy!!! Thanks! Have a good day!
UPDATE: Not to brag, but I went to the gym tonight and I'm 7 pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight! YIPPEE!!!
