The Sagas of Peen and Vag - 1st Edition

We have a new obsession...and by "we" I don't mean me.

It's the Crazies...

They can't get enough information about the peen and the vag.

I kind of think it's hysterical.

Correction: I kind of thought it was hysterical...past tense.

I'm getting a little sick of saying, "that's a penis" "that's a vagina" "you have a penis" "hailey has a vagina" throughout every diaper change...all.day.long.

They point.

They gesture.

They ooooh and ahhhh.

It's like an amusement park down there, right?

They are completely obsessed with their private parts.

That and saying, PU when someone poops. Yes, I taught them that!

Anyway, that's how we spend a good amount of our days...identifying various body parts. Fun, huh?

Speaking of which, we tried a new snack...Pirate's Booty. I taught them how to say "booty." I think it's hysterical and can't wait to hear them say the following phrases:
Where's my booty?
I want booty!
Can I have more booty please?
Give me booty now!
Booty, booty, booty, booty...

Haha...I'm a sicko

This is a penis...this is a vagina...hold on...this doll doesn't have anything! What's a eunuch?

No! You will never get this on camera...this is my defensive stance! Am I intimidating? Hey! Why are you laughing???

Here's a question for all of you "boy Moms" out there...have you ever had any experience with a boy who hated to have his peen touched? We're talking cries and pulls himself away when we're trying to clean it and stuff. Trust me...we're not being dirty. Neither is he...he never touches it.

I know that's a little personal, but it's been my experience that most males can't keep their hands off their peens, right?

Maybe it's just the ones I've met...maybe it's not all guys. I just want Matt to have a good relationship with his peen. Any ideas?

Tot went through a phase where she announced everyone's parts everywhere we went... including the grocery store. It was good fun to walk by strangers and have her announce that they have a "bagina"

We have the same issue with Nathan. We're lucky if we get in there with a quick clean before he throws a fit. I'm glad to hear he isn't the only one and I hope it is just a phase? Bayla on the other hand usually laughs as we clean her!

Riley is totally ok with all diaper changes, etc. He spends most of his diaper changes playing with his penis. Maybe Matt is super sensitive?

Also, I read an article that some girls are jealous that they don't have a penis while boys do. They feel like the boy has something extra. Something to think about.

Your kids are by far the most entertaining of all the kids I know of in the bloggy world. So funny. Cooper is only 7 months old but he definitely has some sort of crazy fasination with his penis. He is constantly grabbing it, pulling it, squishing it. I'm like "Ok son, seriously stop it, mommy doesn't want to watch you play with yourself". As far as freaking out when we change him, he doesn't do that but he may one day. Maybe he hurt himself and is afraid is someone else smashes the balls or anything near them it will hurt? I mean that would freak me out if I was a boy. Especially if he's been exploring, you never know. Maybe he squashed himself? I have no idea though. :)

ha! I'm actually amazed at how little my two have paid attention to each others' parts. I think they've each asked once or twice about the others'. I remember a while back, Paul was home alone at bedtime with them and out of the blue, while he was drying Sarah off from her bath, Jacob walks up and says "Daddy! Where'd Sarah's pee pee go? She got no pee pee? uh oh!" haha! Then just a couple weeks ago he asked her why she didn't stand to go potty and she said she didn't have a pee pee like his and that was that. They seem to have just accepted it and not too curious! (I'm sure that'll change any minute now!)

OH...and yeah...Jacob is always touching his...we have to get after him to leave the thing alone! he's going to hurt himself!

dude! we do that same thing around here - identifying the parts. and my 3 year old likes to walk around saying "penis" randomly because of it. makes for interesting trips to the grocery store and whatnot.

but yea, my son is the same way! he FREAKS at just the SIGHT of the wet wipe...glad to know he's not the only one, but i dunno why they do that...?
