Until the Crazies took over my life!
Lots of big steps around here...

Lots of little dainty bracelet wearing steps too...obsessed with the bracelet!

Mommy has been seeing a lot of the back of heads lately...much too busy to stop and chat, much less pose for a picture.

We do eat together...outside...of course...notice the bracelet on the table...along with her cell phone. It's already starting!!!

This kid just loves it out there...never ever wants to come in. He's truly happiest outdoors!

This kid loves her leisurely lunches...doesn't mind sitting in the big kid chair for a looooong time while she picks away at her lunch. (Notice other kid sweeping up...earning his keep)

We got some new plants...love them!

The deck has been powerwashed, spruced up, and painted...it's my favorite part of the house now. If only we could get the umbrella to stop spinning around!

We even have a clean up crew.
I never liked being outdoors...
until I had two little people to show me how amazing it could be.

Good for you for getting them and you outside. Have you ever read Richard Louv's book, Last Child in the Woods: Saving our Children from Nature-Deficit Disorder? He discusses the pros of getting kids in touch with the outdoors and the cons of being inside and plugged in. I highly recommend it for all parents of young children.
Love all the pictures, such a story they spin.
I know just what you mean about the cell phone - my daughter loves to talk on her phone. Actually she likes to talk on any phone.
We haven't gotten into jewelry much, I haven't been able to find bracelets for her other than one that I think are safe.
She does take her kitchen tongs and pretend to straighten her dolls hair, makes me laugh every single time.
How do you not spend all day just kissing those cheeks???? SO CUTE! It's true, kids make you realize the wonder of the outdoors again. Good thing it's almost summer!
Lots of yummy love,

awww daddy would be proud that you like it outside now! love the kids' outfits...those dresses are to die for. do they come in big girl sizes? the paint job and flowers look awesome...makes me want to come visit (even more)!
I am so incredibly jealous of your huge, beautiful deck!! We want to build a deck off our back but won't be for another year or two (although we've been talking about it ever since we moved in 10 years ago!). I'd love to have an outdoor patio set, too, where we could eat - so much easier to brush the crumbs down for clean up! ha!!
My kids love the outdoors too and would probably love dining out, too...until they sighted any bug - which they have suddenly developed a completely irrational fear of!
YAY!! I love that you take the kids outside! It is fun and most of the time worth the struggle of having to herd them back inside!
I told myself I had to let go and just enjoy the yard this year...sitting and watching them putter - knowing I wasn't getting things on my to do list done inside is hard. There are only a few summers that they require our immediate presence...being right there. Enjoy your summer friend!
My kids would LIVE outside if we let them. They want to be outside 24/7. This works for me only when it's 70 degrees or less.
I was the same way - lived inside until I had kids now we live outside. Picnics, swimming, swinging, etc. the list goes on.
Just be thankful you have a great deck and yard for them to play in because you could be like us and stuck in a condo that was suppose to be your first investment and now the market has tanked and you can't get out of it without losing your ass, literally!!
