Weary Wednesday

Here I sit...cloudy morning, butter toffee coffee in hand, blogs galore in front of me to read, and I cannot concentrate!

Just thinking about this trip to NY is making me tired. It's the trip itself...not the visit...just the travel.

Scottie, can you beam me please???

I may have convinced Husband to look at alternatives for Dog. There is a tiny little silver lining that tells me that I may not have to drag Dog along on our 5-6 hour pilgrimage to NY.

Fingers crossed...

It's not that I don't like Dog, I do...sometimes. It's just that I hate bringing her on long trips b/c it makes everything more difficult. Stopping at a rest stop...almost impossible b/c we can't leave her in the car on a 95 degree day...I think it's illegal or something.

At the very least, it's mean.

Anyway, it's kind of dreary here today b/c we've been getting a lot of rain, but my flowers are happy and the Crazies are sleeping later. Yippee!!!

I just read this thing this morning in a magazine (that's vague for you, huh?) and it says that 37% of women wear their wedding rings all the time...even in the shower! I just can't do it. Maybe it's because I'm claustrophobic (yeah, it took me 5 tries to spell that word correctly).

I take it off at night. I can't sleep in it. I need to be jewelry-free.

I may also need to take it off b/c it's too small. My stupid pregnant hands never shrunk back to normal size (or is it shrank?) and my wedding ring is t.i.g.h.t.

Think I'll get a new one for my 5 year anniversary????

Did you notice that the ring I linked above is $11,000? I don't think I'll be getting that for my anniversary...not in a million years!

Guess what?

I ordered this bag last night!

I couldn't be more excited!!!

I'm such a dork. I've been looking at this bag for a month now...first saw it at Nordstrom's and now found a deal online. It's gold on one side and silver on the other side. I love it. Do you think I could use it in the Fall too?

What's going on in your house this morning?

I'm dealing with some crabby girls this morning and doing laundry (already) because we are also packing for a 5 hour trip. We're going south though and this one involves my entire family- including both of my dreaded parents.
Meanwhile I have a 25 page paper to write.
Maybe I should do a little on-line shopping myself? ;)

oooh that ring is pretty! so is the bag. you're making me want to go shopping!

bring the dog and the kids into the restroom...have brie stay with matt outside the stall and bring hailey in with you like last time. that way you don't have to enlist the help of an old lady! (i have it all figured out)

What's going on in my house this morning? Funny you should ask. 3 of my kids are sitting at the table eating breakfast, and my 4 year old was in the bathroom (after announcing she needed to go potty). Suddenly, very loudly from the bathroom comes "mommy, my poop is stuck in my butt". aaaahhhh the joys of children.

I'm sitting at my desk at work this morning, wasting time because all of our attorneys are gone this week, and you better believe I'm taking advantage of the quiet!

I can't imagine a road trip with twins AND a dog. I hope other arrangements work out.

I can't wear my rings at home anymore. I take them off right after I come in...I've scratched the babies, and I don't like getting lotion, etc. in them, so it's just best that they come off. I used to wear them nearly all the time...before my life got so messy. : )

Before kids, we took the dogs with us a few times when we went to my parents, but it was just a 1 hour trip and we didn't have to pack for dogs AND kids. Now? I wouldn't even CONSIDER traveling any distance with both. We have a good "Doggie Hotel" (aka Kennel) that they are regulars at.

I take my rings off when I sleep, too. Just more comfortable. I once saw a gal's ring that she must've never taken off and never cleaned either...I think she'd made hamburgers or meatloaf sometime before then b/c I could see nasty, furry brown stuff in her prongs. Blech!

I'm still putting off any major road trips with our girls. Still in "we hate the car" mode.

Pretty bag!!

I'm one of the 37%! When I finally left the hospital after the girls were born the first thing I did was shove, and I do mean shove, my rings back on to my fat little fingers! My fingers are definitely not the size 4.5 they used to be, hence the rings stay put all the time. I'm pretty sure they'll have to be cut off. Now that I think of it this is probably something I should take care of!

We just got home from the BEACH! Didn't rain at all-take that weather men! We take day trips or stay a few days in DE every week during the summer. 2.5 from Baltimore and I LOVE IT!

Last two things, you'd definitely get that ring if you were celebrating your one millionth anniversary (LOL-I'd kill DH before we hit that far!) and couldn't you ask the wonderful baby sitter to watch the fur-baby?

Sorry to be such a babbler.

Ohhh!! I love that bag! Yay!! And yes, I'm happy about the rain, too. And you for sure need a new ring, you deserve it!!

Am I too pragmatic? Can't you have the rings enlarged?

Road trips are the worst with kids and dogs. Good luck. Will your dog fit in that new Kate Spade? Ha.
