Tomorrow is D-Day, G.G. Must Be Tired, and No Frustrated!

So, tomorrow is D-day...I have prepared myself that whatever news I get will not be good or bad. I don't have a preference of surgery over PT or vice versa. Either one will suck and that's okay. I will do whatever it takes to make sure this never happens again...EVER. We'll see about that. I'm kind of nervous, but even more ready to have some answers. I need to plan my life, Doc!

G.G. has got to be exhausted! She's been here all week and has been doing a lot. It's through watching her that I realize how much I do in a given's ridiculous! It's one thing after the other and when you're taking care of one needy kid, you have another one right behind you with a different problem. Matt has really been acting out physically, but Hailey has a serious nervous breakdown when G.G. is out of her makes me worried for when she goes back to NY. Unfortunately, G.G. only got 3 hours sleep last night...she couldn't sleep. I have no idea how she was functioning today.

Oh, I made it all the way through the grocery store today ( exciting, right? Are you riveted to my blog yet?). I was tired/hurting at the end, so I left G.G. on line with the Crazies and sat down to some old guy on a to a garbage can (kill me now). He asked what happened with my leg, so I told him. He asked some follow up questions, so I got more graphic and grossed him out. He was speechless by the time he got up...he was also much faster than I am which made me I tripped him and he fell down and dislocated his knee cap!

One of the perks about being hurt is that I don't have to participate in baths right now. If you've been reading for a while, you realize that I'm not the biggest fan of baths (hate them with a passion). There is a complete lack of control and way too much water. I just can't stand it. Now, this week, I've gotten to sit downstairs with an ice pack and listen to bath time. There have been a few times that I have wanted to be up there and witness cute moments, but all in all, I can totally see why I hate bath time. The funniest thing that I have heard this week goes like this:

G.G. (calmly): Matt, I don't think you're supposed to be doing that.
Husband (through gritted teeth): Matt, stop splashing!!
Husband: Matt, if you splash one more time, you're getting out of the tub.
Matt: No Out! No Out!!!
Husband leaves the room to change crib sheets (he's been awesome this week).
G.G. (calmly): Um...Matt?
Husband (through extremely gritted teeth): That's it, Matt! I am getting really frustrated with you. You're getting out.

What kid, who isn't yet two, can pronounce the word "frustrated?" Yet, Matt did...perfectly. Husband didn't hear it through his rage, but it was so funny. Here I am, on the chair, with an ice pack on my bum knee, laughing my ass was so funny.

That's all for now. Congratulate me for my trip to the supermarket and wish my luck tomorrow...please!

Wow, I can barely pronounce the word "frustrated." Good job on the grocery trip and good luck tomorrow! I'm not sure which option to hope for, so let's just hope whichever one it is, it isn't as sucky as you are expecting.

Oh, and no I don't take notes at appointments. I do, however, make sure someone else is with me to watch the kids so I can actually listen to the doctor/PA/nurse, etc. And I know I still miss things.

Good luck!! Keep us posted! If you need any help, please let me know! And I love that you grossed the old man out haha! I feel like that's what he gets for asking too many questions

I had a lot of those moments (trying not to laugh out loud from the next room) while Paul bathed the twins and I fed Adam last year. One of my favorites was when he dropped a bottle of Sarah's medicine and I heard him say a certain 4-letter word. I thought "hmmm...wonder if the kids caught that?" and then I promptly heard Sarah say "S#!^ S#!^ S#!^" like 10 times! hahaha!!

Good luck! I hope they (the doctors) make the right decision and you feel better! I can't imagine running after an almost-2 yr old with a hurt knee. I hurt my elbow last night (and cut my finger last week, I'm such a baby) and am having a hard time chasing mine with that!

Been awhile since I stopped here due to moving bedlam. I'm sorry to read about your injury. I hope either option helps give you relief!

Frustrated...amazed it wasn't my kids first word. Guess that proves they don't listen to what I say.
