Friday Night Leftovers

  • Favorite computer in the world stopped charging last night.  I started to get the shakes when Husband mentioned that I may have to send it back (WHAT???  Have it out of my sight for more than a day??? NEVER!).  Then he says, "they're not meant to be dropped."  Excuuuuuse me?  I didn't drop my baby...um, er, computer!  I would NEVER do that!  Then he reminds me that sometimes I prop it up on its side and then it slides down...well, that doesn't count as "dropping," does it?
  • Guess it's time to turn off the air conditioning...it was so warm here this week!  Today it's much colder and my body found it nearly impossible to extract itself from my bed (especially since I have P.T. in the pool today and the thought of taking clothes off my body makes me physically ill).
  • So, made plans with a friend to do a little shopping this weekend...she had to switch days to Sunday...Halloween.  It didn't even phase me until I remembered a period of time where people would take their kids to the mall to trick-or-treat.  Please tell me this isn't still happening!!!  The last thing I want to see when I go shopping is a bunch of kids, dressed up, high on sugar, acting rude because the lady at PacSun won't give them another Twix.
  • Still looking for a name for a monthly column...any ideas?
  • This weekend's itinerary (we can take bets on how many Advil Knee will need before this weekend is over):
    • Friday Night - Field of Screams (we're not going to actually scare the Crazies, but they have face painting, games, and that sort of thing)
    • Saturday Morning - neighborhood celebration at the Tot Lot
    • Saturday Night - Jack-o-lantern carving and Charlie Brown's Great Pumpkin (DVRed!!!)
    • Sunday Morning - SHOPPING!!!
    • Sunday Night - trick-or-treating (I've already had the Crazies start practicing how to say that...it's so freaking cute that I just want to gobble them up like they're little tiny talking Reese's peanut butter cups!!!!)
  •  Sorry for no logo, but I'm using Husband's computer...none of my stuff is saved on here and none of my shortcuts are either...I really hope I don't have to send Computer back and that it's just the charger.
Play along with Danifred today...Happy Halloween!!!

If your mall is like mine, the stores will handing out Tootsie Rolls for the first hour and then put up a sign saying "sorry". Plus all the people walking around don't speak English! It took me awhile to figure out that the mall is a safe place to take kids Trick or Treating. Sad...
I hope you have a better experience. Sounds like a great weekend plan. Happy Halloween!

Better idea...send computer back and purchase something small like an i.pad or netbook to tide you over! Then you'll never be without! I am dying waiting for the new one in the mail, I also died when I saw the hit to my checking account. Its costly to be a mac girl!

I give you kudos for getting in a pool today! I was frozen this morning because we took the blankets off this week. It was nearly 80 degrees in the house this week but I refuse to give BGE any more money than I have to.

    Have fun with the festivities!

Could be the battery? Do you have one of the newer ones that is all one piece, or an older one where you can remove the battery? I also shudder at the thought of being without my laptop.

I don't blame you for not wanting to go to the mall with all the kids trick or treating. Your going to get away for kids and have some adult time, not to be swarmed by tons of crazies everywhere. I say go Saturday without your friend :)

I hadn't even thought about practicing "Trick or Treat" until I saw your post...thanks for the reminder. The cuteness is definitely something! :)

And I really need to lend my computer to my friendly Ge.ek Squ.ad staff for a little tune-up. Part of me thinks I might just go insane without it for a couple of days, but the other part of me is already planning how much I'll get done in the house.

Hope you enjoy that busy weekend!

Punkees!!" but no luck so far...maybe tomorrow when he's rested and more cooperative!
