Spring Cleaning by Hailey

Before we launch into the Spring Cleaning post (written by Hailey, of course), I would like to point out that while you may have slacked a little on your diet or the vacuuming today, I willingly constipated my children. Yes, I allowed them to play outside for longer than I should have. Yes, that does make me an uber-cool Mama, but that does not give me license to feed them this!

Seriously? Corn, cheese, and bananas? They won't poop for days!!!! I'm screwed! Guess I need to get better at this advanced planning stuff. I just hate lunch!

Ummm...where to start? The cheese I guess. Notice how Hailey crunched all of her crackers into a pile next to her plate...she later used them to dip into her yogurt. I guess the yogurt was my futile attempt to regulate my children. What was I thinking?

Okay, back to the Spring Cleaning, by Hailey (of course)...I don't know what it is. Maybe it's the warmer temperatures. The sun streaming in the windows. The fresh air blowing through the open windows. I don't know what it is what makes me want to clean so much. It just makes me feel complete after I've cleaned everything. Mommy wanted to snap some pictures of my latest obsession.
It's very important to clean all of the legs of your furniture as well as underneath it. You'll never believe the dirt and grime that can accumulate over the Winter (especially with a brother who loves to stick his food in weird places).

Clean these little hooks off...clean them really never know when wandering little children want to taste them! Yes, that's really happened!

Gotta clean this cabinet...

Yes, Mommy, the Sesame Street book does help me clean better...thanks for asking!

Gotta clean the front of the oven...I love to watch myself dance in the reflection!

What's next? I'll tell you what's next!

Matt...gotta clean Matt! Did you see him outside? He was throwing grass in his hair! I can clean him up in a jiffy!

It's always important to keep your floors clean. I've been Matthew actually lick the floor in the middle of a tantrum...seriously, he stopped screaming and just licked the floor. I puked a little in my mouth and he resumed screaming. It was gross. Ever since then, I've been obsessed with cleaning the floors. Wouldn't you be?

Gotta clean my hair...he was throwing grass at me too!

Mom, this is crazy...please tell me I don't have to do this too...please just tell me that!

Okay, it's Mommy was so funny to watch Hailey walk around the kitchen with her little paper towel (gotta love select-a-size) looking for things to clean. It all started with a little water dripping out of her sippy, but I couldn't stop her after that. She would freak if I tried to take the paper towel away from her. I finally had to stop taking pictures to change Matt's diaper and I see her throwing the paper towel in the garbage...she's awesome! How long do you think this will last? I'm going to milk it for as long as I can!
