Choppy Sticks

In a post the other day, I mentioned the fact that we started using chop sticks as a utensil in our little Corner of Craziness.  God, that would make a good blog name (and I will hunt you down and kill you if you steal it from me...that'll hold up in court, right?).

Anyway, what would lunch be without Mommy annoyingly snapping pictures.

Here are a few shots from the Crazies' first experience with "Choppy Sticks."  They love them!

Yes, they may have used their hands to help every now and then, but the job got done.  That's all that counts around our table!

Hailey absolutely loved them!!!

Matt was so determined to be successful, but in the end, opted for a liquid lunch!  That's my kind of kid!

Sunday Senses:
Touch - warm blankie...still feeling under the weather :(
Smell - perfume...I keep it in the kitchen now b/c that's where I remember that I didn't put it on!  Works for me.
See - my engagement ring (isn't it nice to still love something as much as you did the day you got it...I feel that way about my ring and my car)!  Husband cuddling with Matt.
Hear - Sid the Science Kid (this is my life!?!) and Husband telling the Crazies how much he loves them and that he can't believe it's been almost 2.5 years since we had them.
Taste - coffee...natch!

My boys love using their chopsticks too. It is amazing how food tastes much better to a child if they get to eat it in a fun way!

A few months back we brought Kira with us to a chinese restaurant, the girls LOVED her they kept bringing over little handmade gifts but the best (K' favorite) was the chopsticks. The kid managed to eat almost her whole meal with them. Amazing! We brought them home and she used them several more times until they broke.

Would you mind if I tried to use your Sunday Senses too??

I don't even think I could use those sticks without using my hands.

5 senses:
See: the pile of junk that we didn't find time to clean up in the den yesterday (did some major cleaning/purging)
Hear: Quiet...trying to get the kids to nap
Hear: Just got off the phone with my Mom who agreed to keep the kids for a weekend so we can celebrate our anniversary at our fave Winery in the spring!
Touch: Keyboard and wet hair (just got out of the shower)
Taste: Nothing - thirsty though so I need to grab a glass of water!
