Makes My Monday: Surprise the Crazies!!!

We told the Crazies we had a surprise for them, but wouldn't tell them what it was.

We drove into "the city" (I can't really call any city The City unless it's NYC) and Matt was enthralled with the "steam" (what the rest of us would call smokestacks and pollution).

We found a place to park and started wheeling them in...parked the stroller and waited to be among the first to enjoy The Aquarium.

They loved it...here are a few of my faves and they totally make my Monday!

Hugging the bubbles (notice Hailey's HUGE hand)

Seriously?

Chatting with the Elephants

Spent a good amount of time agape at what they were seeing

Completely enthralled by what's coming next...
Wouldn't you be?

Don't know why I love this one so much
Too excited to see what's next to pose for a picture with Mom
Seriously, the whole day was great.  They listened, held our hands, were interested, were polite, ate like humans (at the Cheesecake Factory...holla!), and were just wonderful.  When we were getting ready for bed, Hailey said, "Thank you for my Surprise!!!"  One of my best days yet with the Crazies...I used to balk at people who said it would get easier.  I get it now.

Thanks to Cheryl for allowing me to show off my awesome day!

We had plans to take the girlies to the aquarium this past summer, but didn't quite make it. I'm looking forward to trying again over Spring Break. (Wow...can you believe I'm already looking forward to Spring Break?!)

So glad to see H&M having such fun. :) :)

Isn't it great to make memories? For you as well as the kids. Plus you have the pictures to remind you - sounds like a perfect day!

You have inspired me to take K to the Aquarium.......

Some of my best memories as a toddler are when my parents would "Surprise" us with trips like that.

What a fun day! This is why I have to be done having kiddos. B/c we are just getting to the point where it's easier to do outings w/all the kids.

Awesome surprise. My Hailie is 18 and a few years ago we went to the Aquarium in Chattanooga for the first time every and she loved it. She wants to go back and we were planning on going back last summer while I was hoping to do a homeschool conference in the area but unfortunately the funds didn't allow either to happen. I'm hoping that even though she will be graduating this year that she will still want to go with me this summer.

It is fun seeing the awe from a child's eyes - and you get that x2 - even more fun - E :)

Oh Rebecca, I just love how much fun you all so clearly had...and that you can (after the early days with twins!) SOOOO appreciate the phenomenal behavior and example your kiddos (and you!) set for others!

You ALL Make My Monday....thank you so much for playing along!
