Friday Night Leftovers

  • Hailey will be three in August...that's only like 3 months away, right?  Anyway, I just had to go shopping for her and bought her a bunch of 18 month shorts...they keep falling off her tiny little hips...even with a huge diaper on!!!  What is with this girl?  I swear, if she gets Husband's skin and slim hips, I'll die!  I wonder if when she gets potty trained that instead of seeing 3/4 of her diaper at the top of her shorts, that I'll see total plumber's crack...cute crack, but still...

  • I'm signing the Crazies up for some summer camps.  For some reason, this makes me feel like a bad Mom, but Husband insists that we all need some time away from each other every now and then...me and the kids.  So, they'll have a Wee Sport camp for a week, a Kids in the Kitchen Camp for a week, and a day of Princess Camp and a day of Adventure Camp.  Sounds pretty cool, right?

  • I made it to the gym 3x this week, but my workouts have been shit b/c of this cold...I'm over it.

  • We had our first outdoor lunch this afternoon...I love eating outside with the Crazies.

  • Had to kill a bee though...is there any bad karma there?

  • I wanna know what's in that Coach box that arrived the other day...SO BAD!!!!  I haven't peeked though.  I almost did yesterday, but I was too damn lazy to go upstairs...God, I suck!

  • My legs are alarmingly white.

  • Husband is running his 1/2 marathon tomorrow.  I'm so proud of him.  I don't even like to DRIVE 13.1 miles!  We're going to meet up with him after the race (because seriously...who wants to actually watch people run...that's even more boring than actually running, right?) and see his medal and stuff.

  • Matt still thinks his father is going to running against Lightning McQueen, tractors, and snow plows.  He's delusional.

  • I hate laundry.

  • I'm going to Newport, RI with Sister and GG next weekend...just the girls.  I cannot wait!!!!!

  • I still need a new bathing suit for this summer...after all, the pool opens in a mere 3 weeks.  Oh God...I need to be in a bathing suit in front of people in a mere 3 weeks...(cue hyperventilation).

  • Did anyone else think Derek and Meredith were already married?  I totally did!

  • Dog's back...it instantly makes me feel like a bad housekeeper!  There's just so much more dirt!  The kids were psyched though...can't beat that with a bat!

  • Husband asked what I wanted to eat on Mother's Day...what do you think my answer was?

My B/G twins will be five next month and both were in 3T track suits today and wore 3T footie pajamas all winter. I tried my daughter's summer clothes on her a few weeks ago and some of her 18-24 month and 2T bottoms still fit. I never thought little kids could get three years use out of clothes, and I'm not complaining! Enjoy your Mother's Day.

SUSHI!

I potty trained my 2 year old and all her pants fall down now. She needs 18 months at least for the length...going to have to find some toddler belts, I guess!

Good for you on still working out! I got a cold yesterday and haven't even considered it.

We start swimming lessons tomorrow...eeeek! I don't even have a mom bathing suit...still string bikinis. Not exactly appropriate for baby and toddler classes.

I love that kids get such good wear out of cloths - cheap!

You're going to get sushi.... and did you see Kelle Hampton's bathing suit on a post a few days ago? GORGEOUS - would that work for you.

I think Husband rocks for the summer camp suggestions :) I wish we had more of those here.

Gosh, I meant "clothEs" and there's a question mark missing on my 2nd sentence.

I'm tired - need to get to bed!

My daughter was like this ... and, sure enough, when she was potty trained it was full on butt crack. I guess it never feels drafty because she never notices. Now I call her "Crack". She hates it but it does remind her to pull up her pants. And, she definitely got the "I'll be skinny no matter how much I eat my entire life" gene. But to balance that out, she also got the really fine, thin hair ... both gifts from my husband.

I understand about the Coach box. I had a box show up here 3 WEEKS AGO and it's killing me with anticipation.

I have no idea who Derek and Meredith are ...

And, my son calls Lightning McQueen ... Lightning the Queen and I don't correct him because I think it's really funny.

Great brain dump !!! Very funny ... have a fun weekend

Ummm...wild guess...sushi??? :)

And Baby A literally walked out of a pair of panties today. I was watching...she didn't pull them off...they just fell right down without her pants. It was funny, but kinda pitiful. Note: I do not have that problem.

Those summer camps sound awesome! I wanna go!

And so jealous of your get-away! That sounds fantastic. :)

Happy Mother's Day to you!

I'd run if mean ole Frank the Combine was chasing me...justsayin

Where can I sign up for Princess camp? I'd be down with that!

I'm not sick and I only made it to the gyn once this week so you're way ahead of me!

It's sick, I love doing laundry! I only wish the shed hadn't been torn down so I could hang the laundry again. I love being outside, we have eaten out back quite a few times so far this spring. I can't wait till they are old enough to be locked out... I mean play outside all day!

I have browsed the bathing suit section, at a few stores, a few times. Then I remember people will see me... So I'm holding off on opening the pool till after Memorial Day this year!

Where did you find wee camps?! I am amazed! That is genius! Why don't they have them all year long?

Enjoy your mother's day sushi!

Are you kidding me? I can't wait for summer camp! Woot woot!

Yeah for the 1/2 marathon and... better him than my exploding lungs!

Those camps sound like fun... and just imagine what you can do with a few hours to yourself? If it were me, I think I would do NOTHING. One can only dream...

Shonda Rhimes had said several times that Derek and Meredith were "as married as they were going to get" with their post-it marriage. Apparently, she changed her mind!

Enjoy your sushi! : )

Ugh, bathing suit season, its bad that makes me want to go eat some M&M's right, just from the stress of it?

18 month pair of shorts! Umm, my daughter will be 3 at the very end of July and she's in a 4T. She's not petite I guess. Even if you get the shorts with adj. waistband they fall off?

Manda said...

no MY legs are shockingly white but that's how it's going to be so everyone better get used to it. i'm a little afraid of the bikini too and i have to get in one in two weeks. i better make sure i have one that fits!

i love the idea of the camps and they're going to love them too. now you just have to figure out what you'll be doing during that time!

i actually cry during marathons...and parades. i don't know why. i'm proud of those people!

yay newport!

ok lots of commenting today:
Gianna is wearing 12m shorts, she is 2. when she isn't wearing a diaper i fully expect to see her bare ass on the regular. can i have a side of that skinny-ness? please.

how did the 1/2 go? I am sure he did awesome!

what was in the boxxxxx!!!!

girls weekends rock, so fun. and a little jealous over here.

happy mother's day!!!!

Camps for 2 year olds? How cute! My kids are still going to daycare 1 or 2 days/week over the summer to keep in that routine a bit so I can't complain. The older 2 are doing dance and tball and all 3 are doing swimming this summer again.

Coach? I do hope you'll share what was inside that box!

And now I'm going to take this moment to be pissy about my birthday/mother's day gift. DH got me a robot vacuum. While I sort of understand his reasoning behind it (we tried to hire someone to clean the house 2x a month and that fell through) so he figured a robotic vacuum that i didn't have to run every week would be the consolation prize. But really? First off...thanks for throwing my Bday and MOther's Day in together. I don't get just 1 bday (January)/father's day gift for him! and then I did something totally fun for his birthday this year...and I get a VACUUM? What about the Kindle/Nook we talked about? Or the IPad I've been dreaming about? Or even the effort for HIM to hire a babysitter so we can go out to dinner and a movie together? I'm trying to be gracious for the thought behind the gift...but I'm having a hard time finding it....

K who is just a month younger than Hailey is in a 4!!! But, E is still wearing his 2T gear, they are all just lengthy in the house. If the shorts were long enough, E could still easily wear 18 month clothing. Yes, you will probably see crack when she is potty trained, I'm a huge fan of using diaper pins to make the clothes smaller.

I think you wanted sushi.

I'm jealous of your weekend away, so jealous (even if it includes wearing a swimsuit).
