Friday Night Leftovers - Welcome Back, Normalcy

Thanks to Danifred for hosting!

  • Yes, that's right...we're mostly back to normalcy.
  • I know...the word "normal" is used way too loosely around this house.
  • We have all of our creature comforts back and we were even able to eat lunch at home today rather than the pool.
  • It was lovely.
  • Matt actually said, "Mommy, I love our home."
  • Hailey whined about her "booboo on the pinky toe."
  • Seriously...the booboo is ridiculously small for all this fuss.
  • We had dinner at home too...will wonders never cease.
  • I had to throw a ton of produce out because the Dudes were here for so long...we just weren't able to cook it all.  It broke my heart...especially the hot peppers from the farm.
  • Everything is lovely...well, mostly everything.
  • There are a few things that need to be completed and Contractor is coming back on Sunday.
  • He asked about tomorrow and I said, "No, we need the day off."
  • Seriously!  I DO need a day off.
  • For a great as the Crazies were all week, today they teamed up and beat the living shit out of me.
  • I'm talking public tantrums, refusal to walk to the car, hitting me in the face with a swimmie (which now is a pretty funny visual), peeing all over our dining room chair, screaming all the way through the gym, fighting me over car seats, and talking back like I have never seen.  We're in for some definite retraining next week...just in time to go away for vacation.
  • Things aren't slowing down either...next week is insane too.
  • I will post pictures...I only now found my camera and we got back over a week ago.
  • Anyone else want to see the movie Crazy Stupid Love?
  • To sum up:  kitchen is almost done, Crazies are crazy, and I still love wine...all is right with the world.

Wine is yummy and yes, I would like to see that movie, too. :)

I bet the kitchen remodel will definitely be worth it in the end. (But yes, it definitely sounds a bit stressful!)

This week it has been so hot, I probably could have lived with out a kitchen, but only this week! What has it been like almost 4 weeks for you?

Good thing there is wine, especially red, it does not require refrigeration!

But in all seriousness, I'm glad things are getting back to normal for you.

And I would've been broken-hearted about the produce too. We often pick ours at the local orchard.

I'm SOOO glad you're back to normal.

Matt is adorable though - love how he loves his home.

Yes, retrain them quickly - you can't have all that going on on holiday.

Is this the Outer Banks one?

Hooray for normal!

It's so nice to have your house back and in working order. I hate how the change in normalcy causes a total break down in children. Really, just pretend like everything is normal and don't go crazy on me kids!

I also just got an email from your CSA (because I wrote for info one time and they keep sending my the weekly updates). You have to try trickling springs chocolate milk! Delish! So thick, and rich, and creamy... heaven!!

1. Hooray for getting your house back! Just reading about it was stressing me out...I don't know how you lived it.

2. Definitely go see Crazy, Stupid, Love. It was adorable and funny and it has Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone in it. Winner.

*big sigh of relief*

I want to see Crazy Stupid Love, too. A friend already saw it and said it was GREAT! :-)

Good luck getting back into a routine this week!

Horray for having your house and kitchen back. I can only imagine the stress of the remodel. I saw the pics on FB though and it looks AH-MAZING!

A has a meltdown about any tiny scratch. "I can't sleep with a blankie because it will touch my boo-boo."

K doesn't even know she has one and will be bleeding all over the place and screams, "I don't want a band-aid."

They should have peed on the contractor's vehicle, that would have shown him.
