Things I love:
- How the Crazies get shy sometimes and cling to me...they really do need me after all.
- When Husband does the dishes.
- Garlic marinated mushrooms from Trader Joes (actually, Trader Joes in general...let's face it).
- Routine.
- That feeling that maybe, just maybe, you should wear jeans and real shoes on a chilly early-Fall day.
- My new Fiestaware pie dish that was super cheap from Ama.zon (peacock! I love that color b/c I get to say "cock" and no one looks at me funny).
- Wine.
- Not having to go to Back-to-School night as a teacher...ugh...dreadful.
- The fact that I "slept in" until 6:36 AM this morning.
- The fact that Sister's boss gave her the holiday time she deserves.
Things I hate:
- When a lightbulb goes out.
- Lunchmeat (except salami...I love salami...no "hide the salami" jokes, please).
- That I'm a bad book club member...and it's an online book club...WTF is wrong with me??? (even worse...I suggested a book club to some IRL friends and got a pretty "I'm too busy" response...they probably knew how lame I'd be)
- The Crazies' new cutting addiction...I have 582,395,210,252 tiny pieces of paper all over my dining room table. Did you know that Melissa & Doug makes scissors that won't cut those tiny child digits off? They're awesome!!!
- Matt's loose stool...gag reflex in full effect (that's what he gets for eating 800 dried apricots..."but, Mommy...I lub dem.").
- The fact that Husband thinks it's okay to ask me to examine Matt's loose stool for problematic chunks. It is NOT okay! "What is that? Do you see that right there?? Do you think it's blood?" is not a way to get me to stay in the room...BYE!
- The divot in my bed that I can barely get out of in the morning...we need to rotate the mattress...damn pillowtop.
- Reruns on TV.
- Rain.
- Not having manicured nails.
Things I don't give a shit about:
- Politics...I know, I should...I just don't.
- Loose stool.
- How much TV the Crazies watch on a rainy morning when we have no place to go.
- Labor Day.
- Having no curtains in our dining room.
- Justin Beiber.
- Overwhelmed college kids.
- Laundry.
- Downloading recent pictures.
- Netflix changing their terms.

be careful when saying "cutting addiction"...it totally made me think of something else. i'm not sure how else you could say it though.

one more thing...i used to test pee and poop (and lots of loose stool) when i worked on the cancer floor...i should get bill the little dip sticks and cards i used to test for blood. that would make life a lot easier for you!

I *used* to care about politics...a lot...but I just can't keep up these days, and I'm OK with that. It was last year (I think?) when the oil spill happened, and I seriously had no idea about it...my dad called and was telling me about it, along with some other national tragedy (plot in Times Square, maybe), when I realized I was SO out of the loop. I vowed to at least watch a bit of CNN every night, but that didn't last for long. I should devise a better method for keeping up with the world (other than FB). It's just not me to be so head-in-the-sand.
And thanks for the tip (no pun intended) on the scissors...I'll check them out!

We are also curtain-less in the dining room but it's driving me up a wall. It looks ghetto. I need to take the blinds down too since they are "dirty" and take too much effort to clean. I need a sale...
Are the scissors wonderful? Cause I want a pair and I've looked at those and the reviews are mixed. I figure what could a 2 year old possibly need to cut other than paper?!
And I am sooooooo over the rain! Next week can't get here fast enough!!
Our rain is gone, which is a bit unfortunate because it was my excuse for watching tv and being lazy all day!! And I LOVE the feeling when the girls run to me in public. I like when we're playing somewhere and they glance around to make sure I'm still there. : )
I'm going on the hunt for those scissors...I haven't even let the girls experiment with scissors at all yet, bless their little hearts.

Overwhelmed college kids make me laugh. Especially b/c I was one of them- I thought life was just so haaaaaaaaarrrrrddddd. How annoying.
