| Thanks to Danifred for allowing this mental vomit...I don't know if she's actually doing FNL tonight b/c she's in beautiful sunny AZ, but I needed it, so I took it...thanks! |
- There are days that I'm left drooling like a mental patient.
- 3-year old twins are no joke.
- Husband and I have finally figured out the equation for years 3-4.
- We have also figured out that he has more patience with Hailey and I have more patience with Matt.
- This is probably because Hailey has my personality and Matt has Husband's personality.
- All of this makes me hate myself a little...she's so damn stubborn.
- She'll look me right in the eye, know she's wrong, and do it anyway. I do that! How obnoxious, right???
- I can handle Matt b/c I've had several years of handling Husband. Not that he's all that bad, but I've learned certain things...tricks, if you will.
- I have no idea how to handle Hailey.
- Nothing works with her.
- Time-outs don't phase her.
- She lets me take every damn "pal" out of her room without batting an eye.
- She doesn't care if I take away privileges.
- Nothing gets to her.
- But I also can't just ignore it. There is another set of eyes that are on me at all times...keeping track of what I do.
- Okay, moving on...had a great weekend with my sister last weekend.
- We ate wings.
- We got manicures in a sahweet spa place.
- We were sure that the nail technicians appreciated our "wing-y" fingers...gross, right?
- We watched HGTV without any whining about Mickey and his damn Clubhouse.
- We went grocery shopping...and kind of enjoyed it (but I always enjoy it when it involves Trader Joe's).
- We tried on maternity jeans (well, I didn't, but I sure made her do it)! I forgot how exhausting that is for a pregnant chick!
- We stopped off at the Loft (of course I had a coupon...I'm addicted).
- We showered late.
- We rushed to get ready for her party.
- We had a great time.
- We slept.
- We chilled.
- We enjoyed each other immensely.
- We realized that we couldn't remember the last time we'd just spent a weekend together. Typically GG or husbands or Crazies are in the mix, but this time it was just us and it was heavenly (no offense to the others...it was just nice).
- We had a killer Stella & Dot trunk show...two, as a matter of fact!
- We quickly hugged good-bye at the airport.
- We immediately realized how much we missed each other.
- It was a great weekend.
- The Crazies have gotten a few awesome Halloween packages...pictures to come!
- We just finished decorating the inside of the house yesterday...just to take it all down on Tuesday.
- Better late than never?
- We have a busy day tomorrow.
- The Crazies will be skipping nap.
- Can you say "night terrors?"
- Ugh.
- I love bullet points.
- I hate night terrors.
- Any guesses as to what the Crazies are dressing up as?
- Any guesses to how long it took me to rip open our Halloween candy after today's naptime fiasco?
- I just typed "Halloweed." That would be interesting.

Love hearing about your great weekend with your sister! Every time I read about you gush about your sister, It makes me miss my sister, too!!
I hear ya on dealing with the kids. I have days when I am deal with anything Sarah dishes out...while other days I seriously have to leave the room so I don't lose my shit! The whining, the drama! too much for me - I fear/dread her teenage years!!
We just got Halloween decorations up this week, too...seriously!
So relieved to not have a jam packed weekend but we DO have to get pumpkins and visit the orchard! we don't even have pumpkins yet! agh!
My daughter is way too much like me personality wise too. We get along great until one of us is PMSing.
oh you beat me to the sister post! i was going to do one tonight but lost track of myself. i'll do one this weekend :) i cried when i left the airport...did i tell you that?
halloweed...haha
There is nothing better than sisters - they HAVE to be your friends! (At least that's what I keep telling my sisters...)
love hearing about you and your sister!
glad you had such an awesome time.
BTW< Manda if you;re reading - the sooner you get into maternity jeans, the longer you can enjoy the awesomeness :) there is almost nothing more comfortable... :)
Rebecca, you're scaring me silly about 3!
I don't mean to get all mushy on you...but I just think it's awesome what fun you had with your sister. As an only child, I have a couple of really dear friends, but I imagine that sisters are on an entirely different level. It makes me so happy to know our girls will have each other. :) [And maybe they'll let Mom tag along on occasion!]
i love bullet points :) i find the same thing with my kids--i can handle my son much better. my daughter has way too many of my qualities. :)
K is very, very stubborn. When it is something bad, we have been taking a coin out of her piggy bank and she freaks out. Just a thought.
I am glad you and your sister had such a great weekend especially without the other outsiders, which really allowed you two to do as you please.
Outfits: Minnie and Mickey Mouse? Or H - a princess and M - Mickey Mouse
sounds like a fantastic sister weekend. i love sister time so much.
are hailey and gianna the same? because we have that here. and she's not 3 yet. totally awesome.
