Let's just be clear about one thing.
When I say "we," I really me "me."
I did the whole fucking thing.
I know, I know...I posted pictures of Matt and Hailey hanging ornaments on the tree, but then they deserted me.
Anyway, I thought it would be cute to set my camera to the interval timer and take a picture every three minutes.
I don't know if you'd call it cute, but it certainly is entertaining.
So, we all started out together. I would instruct the Crazies on ornament placement and maximum limb weight...very educational.
Then they vanished!

hahaha perfect! those pictures (and comments) were awesome. come to think of it, i decorated our whole tree too...should have thought to take pictures. then we could have had matching albums ;)

We decorated ours in stages. I got all the ornaments hooked and ready while they were napping. C and I put up our ornaments and as they woke up they each put their ornaments on, except K insisted I put all of hers on as she pointed to each branch.
You couldn't have been too "sauced" as the tree looks pretty symmetrical.
Looks as if you had fun anyway! Vodka lasts forever, doesn't it? Love your angel!

it's probably better that they didn't help all that much, right? my tree only has ornaments from 3 feet down. the top is totally empty!! :)
The interval camera thing is a great idea. ANd I LOVE THE PICTURES OF YOU ALONE.

ha! you crack me up!! Husband didn't help decorate at all this year but I handed out ornaments while the kids decorated. I remained on the floor so I wouldn't interfere or tell them where to put things - totally let them do it. I left the breakable ones for last and i put those up top but had to appreciate how well our kiddos did. J&S guided Adam through a lot of it but he had about 20 ornaments hanging off of his 2 favorite branches. :-) (I only relocated a few!)
Sorry it wasn't the fun activity like you thought it'd be. It'll be better next year, for sure!
I decorated the tree by myself this year. And it was a royal pain. But not having to listen to my husband bitch the entire time? Priceless. Then again... I have discovered there are a lot of things that are so much nicer when he is not around...
I love the interval idea. I had the opposite problem- too many little hands trying to help.

Our tree has approx 12 ornaments on it because my helpers lost interest. I think it's going to stay this way, too!
