Wordless Wednesday

Shades

Matt with Mallet = scary times

Can't have one without the other

The death of my dreams of tiny white sparkling lights...

And the outside is decorated...we have one more window to do and then pictures will follow...this is a grueling process, but our house looks pretty damn cute (even if we require constantly flowing air for half of our decorations).

We have two blow up items - kiddos love them.

Neeeeeeever! I will not buy them. They will not be in my yard. No. NO. NO!

That being said, the girls are only two and are still quite thrilled with the lights by themselves.

We have no blow ups, but our girls love them. They insist on driving by every house that has them.

I'll bet your kiddos are loving this!!! Our neighborhood generally has a lot of decorations. When we moved in, our neighbors (several of them, separately), happened to mention that "we" decorate for Halloween and Christmas. ;)

I had never before put more than a wreath on my door until the last few years. This year we have the most lights we've ever had (which still pales in comparison to some)...garland around the door and 4 bushes on either side and a small tree.

Would you believe, though, that they stopped working a couple of days ago??? To Hubby's credit, he worked until he figured our the bad strand, and was able to fix it.

I thought back to your Griswald comment, though...he was kinda like Clark checking all the bulbs! But I won't mention that to him...HA!

Kids totally get us to do things we never thought we'd do (like fill our yard with blow up dolls!) ha! We have some lighted trees and candy canes in our yard, but no inflatable things.

My kids love driving home in the evening and counting how many houses have their lights on. We live about 2.5 miles down our road so that's a lot of houses to check. The kids were bummed tonight that we were coming home about 30 minutes earlier than last night (gymnastics) and now as many lights were on yet. :-)
