Thursday Confessional

  1. I totally told some stranger at the gym she could kick Matthew.  We were going up the stairs and he decided to kneel down and stop b/c Hailey went first (rational thought is not on the forefront these days).  Anyway, some lady came up behind us and I jokingly said (with a smile on my face and everything), "don't worry if you kick him...he's tough."  Let's just say that she would not be the kind of person I'd be friends with.  Her sense of humor isn't "sick" enough.
  2. I ate combination lo mein right out of the container Tuesday morning...cold.
  3. I have sucked at blogging this week.
  4. I say dumb things like, "okay" and "I'm sorry you feel that way" when Husband complains about things I can't fix.  I'd be a terrible therapist.
  5. I was all Zen after yoga class yesterday and seriously wanted to murder someone by the time I left the parking lot...thanks to child that stepped off curb without a hand (and then crawled on the wet ground as I put him in time-out), an old lady at took 18 million years to get out of her parking spot (as I patiently waited to belt Matt in), and another old lady who had to wait for that fucking spot as I wrestled my son into his seat...let's not forget to mention that the spot on Hailey's side was free...WTF?  You're at a GYM!!!  WALKTHEFUCKINGEXTRATENSTEPS, FATASS!!!
  6. I've decided that the two phrases I love most these days are "you're right, honey...good idea" and "okay, Mom."
  7. I am petrified to throw this pile of "artwork" that is splayed across my dining room table.  Absolutely petrified...I'm so worried that someone will see it in the garbage and have a total meltdown!  I just need to suck it up.  I'll do it as soon as I'm done writing this.
  8. I can't seem to catch up...I have no idea what I'll do when I go back to work...yes, I still have years to figure this out, but how do you working Moms get ANYTHING done???
  9. I totally bribed Matt into taking a picture for me with a piece of chocolate at 8:30 in the morning.  Hailey got one too b/c I just didn't feel like hearing it.  Does that make me a bad mother?  Or an awesome photographer?
  10. I've made post-it notes with my emotions on them.  Sometimes at lunch, one of the Crazies will do something and I'll simply hold up the post-it note with my current emotion.  There is sad, happy, mad, and ecstatic.  They keep trying things until they get the ecstatic and it's hysterical.  I love these kiddos.

I owe you guys like a million zillion picture posts.  I have their first field trip, their weekend with Daddy, countless jumping-in-the-leaf-pile pictures, and random other things from the last few weeks.  We're all actually home this weekend for a change, so I intend to get my shit together...if you still care.
