Friday Night Leftovers - by the numbers (stolen from Danifred)

Thanks to Danifred...she ends my week up right.




  • 3 - number of weeks I have been without a horn in my car.
  • 8 - average number of times I beep at some idiot on a weekly basis.
  • 2 - number of weeks that I have known about the cruise control being broken as well.
  • 1 - number of warnings for speeding I've gotten in the past month.
  • 8:30 - time of my appointment this morning.
  • 8:10 - time I actually left.
  • 2 - number of car seats that had to be extracted from my car and reinstalled into Husband's car.
  • 5 - number of times Husband cursed me for turning my car into a "shithole."
  • 6 - number of minutes I was late for my appointment.
  • 13 - number of minutes we had to wait for a table at a local breakfast joint.
  • 13,000 - number of minutes it felt like waiting for a table.
  • 1370 - approximate number of calories in my California Benedict (smoked salmon, asparagus, steamed spinach, 2 poached eggs, Hollandaise sauce, whole wheat toast, and potatoes).
  • 1000 - number of calories I'm sure I saved by not eating the toast.
  • 425 - number of dollars they said my car would cost.
  • 7 - heavy sighs from Husband upon hearing that news.
  • 2 - number of hours they said it would take.
  • 12:30 - approximate time of completion given by Acura rep.
  • 2 - number of insoles we got custom made for Husband.
  • 1 - number of pairs of sneakers Matthew has ruined since August.
  • 1 - number of pairs of sneakers we had to purchase today to replace aforementioned sneakers.
  • 16 - times Matt said he didn't like them.
  • 0 - good reasons he gave, so we got them anyway.
  • 52 - number of dollars we spent at Trader Joe's.
  • 2 - trips to Trader Joe's restrooms.
  • 1 - times Husband freaked out on me on the way back to the dealer.
  • 1 - times I told a service dude that I was there waiting for my car.
  • 1 - hours I waited before checking on my car.
  • 12 - 1 - servicemen's lunch hour on which no cars are worked.
  • 5 - incredulous looks I gave the Acura rep.
  • 1 - loaner car they gave me.
  • 10 - minutes it took me to get a book store and get the Real Simple that never came this month (seriously, I've been twitching over it).
  • 4 - months it's been since I've eaten at McD's...until today.
  • 3 - stores I wandered around aimlessly.
  • 1 - call I placed back to the Acura rep.
  • 1 - call I received at the very same time.
  • 10 - minutes it took to get back there.
  • 10 - percent they gave me off my bill (still don't think it was enough).
  • 1 - number of times I blasted my horn in the parking lot (had to test it, right?).
  • 20 - minutes it took me to get home.
  • 15 - minutes it took me to remember to test my cruise control.
  • 1 - number of times Dog threw up while I was gone.
  • 0 - number of time-outs the Crazies earned while Husband was on lunch duty.
