So, I had this great plan...
I was going to go to the grocery store today to get things for tonight's dinner (beef and snow peas in case you're wondering). I was going to stop by the flower area and take some pictures of my favorite flowers. It was going to be perfect. I was going to be so blog-responsible.
If I was lucky, I would also pick up one more present for tomorrow's birthday boy.
That didn't happen though. I was on the couch recovering from The Sick. It started snowing really hard. Hailey woke up from her nap. Husband texted to see if I wanted him to stop at the store instead.
I caved.
So, my friend, Pinterest, saved the day...
Oh, and I also LOVE these...
Extra points if you can guess the name of the second one...I love love love them and actually have them growing successfully in my yard (through no doing of my own...they were here when we moved in).

The other flowers are Peonies, right? My parents always had them in their yard when I was younger. Always pretty and fragrant but my mom hated them b/c they attracted ants.
Tulips are my absolute favorites of all time. When Nick buys me tulips, I melt a little.
i love peonies!!! i wanted them in my wedding bouquet but they would have cost a fortune at that time of year so i didn't but i'm still sad.
LOVE peonies! They were all over my wedding...big fat pink ones. Sigh...
I'm not a fan of peonies because of the ants. But I love carnations. They're so pretty, and they're "the affordable rose". LOL
I love peonies also - such rich, delicate flowers!

I have two favorites - Gerber daisies and hydrangeas
I love gerber daisies and the smell of gardenias (which won't grow here)
