Love this.
I believe that a good night's sleep makes me a better person. I believe that a good book is the best escape in the world. I believe that I was born with the beach in my blood. I believe in admitting when I'm wrong and forgiving others when they've made mistakes.
And so many more!
I posted about this:

Love this idea, may use it as a QOTW
Is it horrible that I couldn't read this without think of the the blue collar tour?
I believe in rest, for the body, mind, and soul.
I so completely agree with your comments on happiness. We create it for ourselves. We all get down at times...at least I do...but it's up to me to put on my big girl panties and adjust my attitude, or my circumstances, whatever. It's a choice.
Consequently, I don't have a high tolerance for people who constantly seem to mope, or who so overtly look to outside sources of happiness.
I'll see your list, and raise you some white towels. I believe in those, too. ;)
This is great and we have so many of these beliefs in common! I will try to get a post up about this this week!
Love this!! I have to second Mandy's comment about not much tolerance for people who choose to constantly complain.
Natural Consequences...they're like God's gift to parents and teachers!
Agree with so much of this...You're preaching to the choir girlfriend!!!
I believe in karma. What you put out to the universe comes back to you.
I believe that good food sustains me in more ways than one.
I'm sure there's more that I believe, but I think I'm hungry now.
A few of my core beliefs:
1. The Golden Rule - I wish everyone would follow it.
2. Technology can be addicting, so parents need to be wary and LIMIT their children's use of it.
3. I always apologize when I've erred. I wish everyone else would; however, there are some people who are sorry but can't apologize. They should be forgiven.
4. Forgiveness is the path to healing.
5. You must work for what you have. I'm sick of 47% of Americans not paying ANY taxes.
6. Blue collar jobs deserve respect.
7. You never know what other people are dealing with. It could explain their foul mood.
8. I love sharing the room with my husband while we're both reading.
9. My 4 grandparents who immigrated here before WWI were very brave and courageous people. They humble me.
10. I had the greatest Dad in the world. After 22 years since his passing, I still miss him and his hugs.
11. I prefer GUYS ... not puppy-like men.
12. Self-confidence comes from within. You can't just tell a person they're great. A person has to earn it themselves. Then they truly are confident.
13. Elders should not be ignored. Talk to them. They have fascinating stories and insight.
Awesome.
I believe that if it won't matter on your deathbed, it's not worth fighting about it now. This is a recent belief, but it's so fricking true.
Awesome post. You should make this into one of those subway art prints (then pin it! ha!).
I totally and completely believe that happiness is a choice we make every single day. I believe that I don't have the right to tell someone else how to live their life, and I don't believe they can tell me how to live mine.
I believe in God, and I believe that we are supposed to LOVE the way Jesus did--everyone, all the time, even those who don't "deserve" it--instead of judging those who are different from us.
oh gosh, I love your post and Deanna's comment too.
If I had more time, I'd make you a subway print (an ugly one, but one nonetheless).
I believe in totally accepting responsibility for your choices. None of this "I don't have a choice" rubbish.
Also, I love natural consequences. D thinks I'm mean but hello? this is the way the world works.
:) soooo many of the above are true for me. why do people love band-aids so much? and why do people WANT to be sick (b's parents)?? it's NOT fun.
-i believe that wine and good food can cure a foul mood
-i believe that things seem brighter with shaved legs
-i believe in trying to be a good role model for my children: in how i interact with people, making being healthy a priority, and finding happiness
-i believe that one day i might actually LIKE running
;)
love this! we have a lot of similar core beliefs.
So many similarities.
White sheets? I just can't do.
I just realized that I believe you must accessorize, but I don't believe in wearing make up consistently. Hmmmm...
