So, Kristen from A Little Something For Me enlightened me this morning at 6:35 AM.
That's not easy to do.
Apparently, I'm far behind the times with my little Google follower icon up there.
I had NO FREAKING IDEA that I was part of this Google Friend Connect upheaval.
I had NO FREAKING IDEA that I was no longer showing up for some people.
I had NO FREAKING IDEA that you couldn't follow me unless I was on Twitter or FB. I guess we could subscribe in RSS, right? So, I added that as soon as I stumbled downstairs this morning.
Then I did it...right there on my phone. I hopped on the Twitter Train.
And.was.even.more.confused.
So, I have a twitter name (casadecrazies), but how do I connect it to my blog? How do I get another FB page? I could do it before they changed me to the damn timeline, but I can't figure out how to do it now.
Also, is this is a good time to completely redo my blog? Is this a good time to start the blog that I wanted to start after the Crazies were born? The one that chronicled our lives as Crazies rather than all of that infertility stuff that I'd like to leave behind? After all, we're 3.5 years out now...it's about damn time, right?
Should I hire someone to redo my blog? Should I purchase my own domain name? I'm thinking yes and yes.
I seriously don't think I could handle Wordpress with everything else.
Maybe I could ask for a new design/blog for my birthday, but who could do it? I love so many blog designs out there and don't want to spend a fortune.
Also, how do I reconnect with all of my long-gone followers? I'll miss them!
OMG...head is spinning. I gotta get this worked out. I'll take any suggestions, ideas, or thoughts that you guys have. Clearly, I need help!

You still have google friend since your a blogger blog. Only Wordpress blogs lost google friend I thought?
I think what Mama Chantal said is correct...people will still be able to see yours since you use blogger.
I am thinking about purchasing a domain and changing some things around too. Got any good name ideas for me? : )
I think I will probably purchase through google's link with blogger...seems the easiest. I liked your blog FB page!
i added linky followers to my blog for the ones who dont have blogger blogs. check it out, its easy and free
I lost google friend connect but I am a wordpress.org blog so I knew I was loosing it. Truth be told I didn't do too much about it. Sometimes I feel like people follow but don't come back.
I haven't heard of linky followers, hmm.
I don't know why your google friend connect isn't showing up, did they update the code or something?
I think you should take the plunge and start a new blog and yes buy the domain name. It isn't hard to create your own blog, I think what is probably more tricky is moving it to wordpress.org, the back end stuff. If you want to chat about it let me know.
I've kinda given up on worrying about followers, etc. I write what I write, even if its more just for me most days. Sure, I'm glad to know people are reading (and even happier when I realize its people I KNOW vs random people out there) but somewhere the worry over how many hits and how many followers has fallen away. I still have a twitter account but its mostly for news.
I have to use a Wordpress site for something else and I HATE it! SO tough to use. :-(

Best of luck! All of that stuff is confusing. I'm still slow with Twitter...blah. Oh, well. I did hire someone to do my blog design last year though. Her icon is on my right sidebar toward the bottom if you're interested. I believe it only cost me $35 at the time.

I know I show up on FB and twitter, but I've long forgotten how to make that happen. Sorry, I suck.

i use google reader, so i never really "got" the whole google friend thingie.
buying a domain name has been on my list of things to do for a long time. i just need to get on that...
but yay twitter - i am a big twitter fan :)
